And I'm Still A GirlI am a girl,
       So I must love skirts
       And ball gown dresses
       Not rugby shirts.
I am a girl,
       So I must wear high heels
       And have long nails
       And eat tiny meals.
I am a girl,
       So I must be neat,
       And all tucked in
       With hair complete.

Death's DanceI made an acquaintance with Death today,
As we happened on each other by chance.
Nervous and shy, with no reason why,
I had to deny his invite to Dance.

I spoke with Death again today,
As he helped my father away from the pain.
With not a second to spare, he told me to take care,
And ensured, one day, we would meet again.

I arranged to meet with Death today,
As I leapt into the grasp of the river flow.
Waters offered a home upon a riverbed throne,
But Death refused to show.

Old, and wrinkling, with even a limp,
I met Death today, in my sleep.
He took my hand, and, with a flourish so grand,
He repaid the deal he had promised t
On a Hill, In a StormOn the top of a hill

On a stormy day,

When the wind caresses your limbs

Then dances away,

And leaves kiss your hair,

And thunder howls applause,

Do you ever wish

This love was yours?

Do you ever wish

someone else was there,

So that you could use

this storm to share

A moment of time,

-Just a minute or two-

So that someone you love

Could dance in the rain with you?
reflection, reflectionMirror mirror on my wall,
Watch me break and watch me fall,
Watch me crumble into rust,
Watch me whither into dust.

Mirror mirror on the wall
Ignore my pain, ignore it all.
Just turn away, now not a glance,
Give the reflection one last chance.

Mirror mirror, I hate you there.
I hate the way you just turn and stare,
And watch as my life shatters apart;
A witness to this blazing heart.

Mirror mirror, these cracks and shards,
That scatter every thousand yards,
Sparkle like diamond, yet cut like glass,
And infect this wound as rusting brass.

Mirror mirror, just turn and see.
There is a reflection waiting here for thee.

I once wrote in stone,
on the edges of time,
When the world knew not
Of timing nor rhyme.
And moved on to feather quills,
And handmade bottles of ink,
Pressing slanted words into parchment,
For impressions to sink.
Then onto black boards, and white chalk,
Where they screamed for attention,
Like slashes in the night sky,
Gazing for mild affection.
And onward, into text books,
As the ballpoint glides,
Into the perfection of symbols
From criticising eyes.
And onto the era of tapping
Around a keyboard with ea
We Let Our World DieSometimes I wonder,
Sometimes I don't care,
If I shout out my heart,
And nobody's there,
And nobody's listening
To my screams and my pleas,
That nobody is watching,
When I beg on my knees.

Sometimes I wonder if it matters
That my voice isn't heard
That no matter how loud I shriek
You won't hear a word.
And sometimes I wonder;
If you heard -would you care?
Would you just carry on by,
Or would you stop, would you stare?

Would you pause for a second
And listen to what I have to say,
Or would you think I'm talking nonsense,
And just wave the thought away?
Stop! Don't turn your head.
I'm begging on my knees!
I need your atten
A Hundred Halloweens Ago"A hundred years ago,
On the night of Halloween,
In a haunted mansion,
A young girl was seen.

She crept into the house,
And the door locked by itself,
And she was never seen since..."
-another cliché book on a shelf.

Just another haunted story,
That will chill your bones,
And try to tell you of ghosts,
That invade unsuspecting homes.

Just another story of zombies,
That crawl under your skin,
And creep into your dreams,
Then invite nightmares in.

Just another tale of Dark Fairies,
And creatures of blood,
And frankenstein monsters,
Rising from cemetery mud.

Just other tales of Grimhounds,
And shadows with red eyes,
A
. On . Enrollment . Day .I wish my frozen lips could tell you
-I wish you could somehow know-
Of how it breaks my heart
When I have to watch you go.

And I wish you could come back
How I wish you would return
But this weight in my chest
Is beginning to twist and burn.

See, I have this strange feeling
That we will never meet again
-That I'm going to lose you,
But it's not something I can explain.

So I have to watch you go
To watch you march up to death
In your smart, new army outfit
With the cold misting from your breath.

And right before you disappear
You turn and wave back to me,
With a gleaming smile on your face
-As happy as can be.

But I still
What Friends Are ForBehind that frozen lock,
You'll find a flaming key.
Is it the flaming lock,
Or the frozen key you wish to see?

Behind closed doors
is another closed door.
Are you sure you want to open it?
Are you sure you're sure?

Before the thick, castle walls,
You'll have to cross a moat.
You really gonna fight the guards,
With that hole in your sinking boat?

You'll have to grow your dreams,
Before you can reach the sky.
You'll have to battle with the clouds,
To even get that high.

Because I know you can do it.
You have the heart and the will.
I believe you will keep fighting,
Until your heart is still.

But if you find that flame is to
our love storyfinish the ending chapter

& turn the final page

take your last bow

& walk off the stage

my, that sure was a cliff-hanger

how i gripped the edge of my seat

you sure had me fooled, you know

i thought you were innocent & sweet

never imagined you'd be the bad guy

or the suspense, the major twist

& now you're just another one

with your name crossed out on the list

good job that was a recital

'cause no way did you get the part

remember next time you tear your script

be careful not to break my heart

but it doesn't matter now, right?

'cause there was a moral to this tale

or is that only happy endings

that allow that ship to sail?

when  I  was  walking  the  wire,
And  circled  below,
And  saved  me  from  the  fire.
You  shoo'd  the  flames
And  pretended  you  weren't  burned.
Well,  I  know  it's  about  time

Just so I could show you, my dear,

That left pieces, very few.

Something snapped like frozen ice,
And showed innocence Proven guilty.

And set a defenceless innocent free.

Something snapped like Tinder,
Or just lIke a hunters whip,
And set about casting flamEs,
And caught flesh in its fiery grip.

Something snapped like a Needle,
Before it Could fix thread.
Something snapped like a voicE,
Before it could repeat what wasn't said.

Something snapped like lightening
And forked through a blackened night.
And left everybody blinded
Love is LoveIf  we  had  to  live  in  a  world,

Where  we  had  no  sight,

It  would  still  be  comforting

For  someone  to  hold  you  at  night.

If  we  were  to  live  in  a  world

That  has  no  odour  or  smell,

Flowers  on  your  door  step

Would  still  make  your  heart  swell.

If  we  were  to  live  in  a  world

That  has  no  ability  to  taste,

A  night  with  someone  you  love

At  dinner  could  never  be  a  waste.

If  we  were  to  live  in  a  world

That  gave  us  no  sound,

You  would  still  recognise  a  heart  beat

When  a  loved  one  is  around.

Now  imagine  you  live  in  world

Where  you  have  absolutely  no
Two Can Keep A SecretLong  dark  nights,  flashing  lights,

And  midnight  dances,

Sweet  sweat,  disco  set,

And  b r o k e n  chances.

The  wrong  choices,  Too  loud  voices,

Can't  hear  what  they're  saying.

Forgot  your  name,  in  this  petty  game,

But  we're  just  playing.

Too  far  hooked  in,  flesh  mixed

The clouds are black.
Arm yourselves,

The lightening is coming.
Taking a picture of white.
With a round of applause,

The wind is coming.
Be careful, beware,
Because wherever you go,
Howling wind will be there.

The fog is coming.
To rid us of our sight.
And the fog will remain,
No matter how much we fight.

This storm is brewing.
The skies are are black.
Arm yourselves quickly;
They're about to attack.
Silent LucidityI could swim out to sea,
And never look back.
No one would search for me,
When the skies grew black.

I would stay in the sea,
When stars learn to fly,
And remain there, silent,
With the moon in the sky.

I will stay there, silent,
In my sea all alone.
Watching the lights in the sky,
From my watery throne.

I could live there forever,
Silent, alone in my sea.
In my kingdom of water;
At last I am free.

So if I'm gasoline
.... you must be fire?
I'm passion,
And you're desire?
I'm the reason
Earth is turning,
You're the motive,
To keep Hell burning?
So since I am the dark,
You wouldn't be the night?
But as I'm not the sun,
You'll be the light?
I'm the go,
You're the stay,
I'm the work,
You're the play.
I'm the black,
You're the white,
I'm the peace,
You're the fight.
You're the ground,
I'm the sky.
You're the innocent,
So I'm the bad guy?
You're the drought,
I'm the flood,
And the gash;
You're the blood.
I'm the numb;
You're the pain.
You're the dry,
I'm the rain.
You hold the dreams,
That create the fears,
I hold the smiles,
That make more tears.
So you're the maze
I can't get through,
And I'm the riddle,
That muddles you.

So you're everything
I'll never get to be.
And yet...
we fit together perfectly?

You're my disease,
And I'm your cure.
Like two imperfect pieces,
To complete a perfect jigsaw?
